While young people make up slightly less than one quarter of world labor force, they also account for half of worldwide unemployment. Labor markets are experiencing difficulties providing stable employment with good prospects for young people, with the exception for highly qualified specialists. Today nearly 3 billion people are under the age of 25. About half a billion of them live in poverty. More than 100 million children worldwide do not attend school. More than 30,000 children die from hunger-related causes every day. About 7,000 young people become infected with AIDS every day.
