Dr Aleksandr V. Bezgodov’s monograph, Planetary Rent As an Instrument for Solving Global Problems has come out in Russian. Published by the Piter Publishing House, the second Planetary Project book written by the Associate Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and Director of the Planetary Development Institute, Dubai, UAE, logically follows the his first book Planetary Project: From Sustainable Development to Managed Harmony. It focuses on economic mechanisms of implementing the Concept of Managed Harmony. It proposes an innovative theory of planetary rent as an instrument of building a Planetary Budget. The Planetary Budget is designed to become a funding source to address global issues, lay the foundations of a new biocompatible and fair economy that would be able to ensure a harmonious relationship between people and nature. Dr Bezgodov traces the evolution of the concept of rent, identifies various types of rent and advocates institutionalizing Planetary Rent that would involve universal unification of environmental regulations based on the principles resource saving, consumption optimization, fairness and symmetry. Planetary rent can be considered the next historical phase of developing the institution of rent. It is the highest stage of its evolution whose contradictions, connected with the disposition of the excess income, will be removed. Various world economic scenarios are viewed through the prism of transition to a biocentric model of human activity and the requirements of the Sixth Techno-economic Paradigm.

The book, Planetary Rent As an Instrument for Solving Global Problems, is soon coming out in English.
