G20 - a common platform to develop the idea of Planetary Project

The G20 brings together representatives of 85%of the world's GDP and 70% of its population.

After spending more than a week in Beijing and Shanghai our team of Planetary project came back to UAE & Russia. We were trying to analyze all the events and presentations. Russia prepared a good box of ice cream for the Chinese PM as he loves Russian ice creams. So although a gift in form of cold icecream was enough to warm up the heart of the Chinese President.

Brazil still coming out of the impeachment of its president. Newly-installed Brazilian President Michel Temer said Saturday that he has high expectations for the upcoming G20 summit and believes it will bring benefits to all its members.

The Brazilian leader made the remarks in an interview with Chinese journalists prior to theleaders' meeting, which will mark his first appearance as head of state at a major international occasion. He spoke highly of the integration and interaction among G20 members, and also spoke ofthe upcoming summit of the emerging-market bloc of BRICS -- Brazil, Russia, India, Chinaand South Africa -- in October in India.

The Chinese leader said the world economy still faces multiple risks and challenges including a lack of growth momentum and consumption, turbulent financial markets, receding global trade and investment.

The rise of protectionism is challenging economic globalisation, imperilling multilateral trade arrangements, and despite regulatory reforms market volatility is gathering pace, he said.

"We hope the Hangzhou summit will come up with a prescription for the world economy and lead it back to the road of strong, balanced, comprehensive and sustainable growth," Xi said.

China has been angered by questions raised by Britain and Australia over strategic Chinese investments in their countries, saying it smacks of protectionism and paranoia.

Australia has blocked the A$10 billion ($7.7 billion) sale of the country’s biggest energy grid to Chinese bidders, while Britain has delayed a $24 billion Chinese-invested nuclear project.

But the state-run Study Times wrote in mid-August that Western countries were trying to deliberately exclude a rising China and deny it a proper voice on the world stage with schemes like the U.S.-led Trans-Pacific Partnership.

“Trying to get back their right to global governance, they are forging a new ‘sacred alliance’, striving to establish new rules,” the influential paper, published twice a week by the Central Party School, wrote in a G20 commentary

India on the other hands signed up the agreement and 2 out of 4 documents of LEMOU (logistic exchange memorandum of understanding) with USA last week. This irked up China as it had signed up the biggest treaty with Pakistan of 47 billion USD and had its own plans for the region. Still the two PMs met in an atmosphere of understanding and exchanged gestures

China craves a polished summit but there were more wrinkles on Saturday when a shouting match broke out over access for reporters travelling with Obama as Air Force One arrived on the tarmac.

"This is our country!" a Chinese official in a dark suit shouted at a White House staffer. "This is our airport!"

Obama took the fracas in his stride on Sunday, saying that although the US insists on press access and does not "leave our values and ideals behind", the travelling White House juggernaut could be intimidating..

Then there is Japan, a country with which China has been embroiled in disputes for much of the last decade over their wartime past and a spat over a group of uninhabited islands in the East China Sea.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said today G20 leaders meeting in China agreed that they needed to work together to increase world economic growth.

She welcomed China's focus on structural reforms during its rotating presidency of the group, and said digital ministers from the world's 20 biggest economies would meet for the first time next year, when Germany will take over the G20 presidency.

She said the group also planned to set up a task force on innovation. Saudi Arabia also stressed on the innovation . Today 5th September 2016 it seems BREXIT is hijacking many issues during the summit . Teresa may is going to sit down with China and talk about many investments including the nuclear sector.

During our visit to China in the last week of August we understood that there is now a shift from MADE IN CHINA To Innovated in China .

So the new Asia is ready for manufacturing at any level and also to innovate at any level.

On one hand ECONOMY came out to be the common cause which brought all the leaders under one umbrella. This idea is an integral part of our PLANETARY PROJECT PHILOSOPHY. But the various differences amongst the players show the division among the various sections of this new emerging world. This leaves us with some questions of who and how will implement the ideas which are common to everyone, keeping aside all the differences.
