Planetary Project in Batumi

The report “From Sustainable Development to Managed Harmony: a Paradigm Shift” presented by the Planetary Development Institute aroused general interest and a lively discussion among the participants of the conference. The representatives of higher education institutions, think tanks, public and governmental organizations from Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Iraq shared their thoughts on topical issues concerning the construction of the global community in the changing world. A number of theses proposed by the Planetary Project including the criticism of the concept of sustainable development were highly supported. Moreover, the Concept of Managed Harmony and latest economic models based on the planetary rent system and the equitable re-distribution of the global income were also appreciated.
